Some Surprising Good News About Student Loans

The Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Process Is Online and Easy to Fill Out

Let me start by saying that this information might be old news to some, but it’s new to me — I recently discovered that the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) form can now be submitted online!

I don’t know when this change happened, but according to my records, I completed the form and mailed it in back in 2022, only for it to never be processed. Now, as I prepare to purchase my first home, I’ve had to face my student loans head-on. If you’ve followed my journey, you know the challenges I’ve faced with nearly six figures in student debt and just one final semester left to complete my degree.

Discovering the Online PSLF Process

At the urging of my mortgage broker, I finally looked into my student loan situation. Like many Americans, I simply cannot afford the payments, with rent consuming more than 50% of my income, leaving little room for other bills. However, I was pleasantly surprised to learn that the PSLF form can now be submitted electronically, making the process much more accessible.
