Vision and Verse — Unexpected Inspiration
A story poem inspired by Transient Harmony of Nature by Rajesh Poovathum Kadavil
It’s been a long time since I was inspired to write a poem — but @Rajesh Poovathum Kadavil’s poem Transient Harmony of Nature inspired this impromptu poem:
I want to go to a beautiful patch of earth, sit, and commune with nature
I want to listen to bird songs and try to translate their chirps and melodies into words and perhaps poetry and it in awe of their flight —
I want to touch — untouched blades of grass and other flora and observe the fauna
I want to feel the breeze from the wind and smell nature's perfume of grass and flowers —
I love the sound and smell of water — rippling or flowing — salty or fresh — it settles my spirit just being near it
I want to feel warm sunshine on my face and let it tenderly energize me
I want to taste fresh fruits of the season — berries, citrus, or even stone fruit — naturally ripened to perfection it brings smiles and sweet satisfaction
I want to let my senses explore, bask, praise, and write about all the beautiful things I see, hear, smell, taste, and touch and feel.
Thank you to all the gifted poets who inspire, delight, and motivate me
